Humble Earth Pitcher Blues

This hand-thrown, handleless pitcher is a study in graceful simplicity and fluid form. Wheel-crafted with a gently rounded body and a softly tapered neck, it feels organic and balanced in the hand. The absence of a handle emphasizes its sculptural silhouette, inviting a natural, two-handed pour that feels intimate and grounded.

The surface is finished in layered blue glazes that evoke shifting water and open skies. Deep indigo pools near the base, gradually flowing into vibrant cobalt and soft cerulean tones toward the shoulder and rim. Where the glaze thins over subtle throwing lines, lighter streaks of misty blue emerge, adding movement and depth. In places, the glaze breaks slightly to reveal hints of the clay beneath, creating contrast and visual texture.
