Demitre Dish Blue Wave

Thei unique dish with a strip technique is made from approx 3/8" strips of glass cut in many colors and legnts forming a flat rectangle which is fired at about 1500 degrees.  a 2nd firing is done to slump the piece giving it the "wave" shape at a lower temperature.   Some cold working may be done after to polish the edges if uneven or if there are sharp edges, (grinding is done by hand or machine).
